This has previously been posted, but just to confirm that the Nominet WHOIS databse now shows the renewal date for domains.

The renewal date will appear in the 'Relevant Dates' section of the WHOIS
output, above the 'Last Updated' line, as shown in the following example:

Relevant Dates:
Registered on: 01-June-2001
Renewal date: 01-June-2003
Last updated: 02-February-2003

The WHOIS will be updated on a daily basis so the renewal date will be
updated on the same day that a domain name payment is processed by
Nominet. The WHOIS will continue to be refreshed every five minutes as
present.

Tag holders who incorporate WHOIS responses into their own systems will
need to adapt these to include this new field.

further info:
[nominet.org.uk...]

The main purpose for this is to remind registrants when their domain expires...

This is NOT the date that the domain will be dropped/deleted etc etc, its a good guide but it can take months/years from expiry date till final drop takes place.

(and even then the dropcatching companies are waiting to register it that very second)

I think this is a positive step by Nominet, and maybe a step towards having longer renewal periods available.
