expired domains with high traffic

I am finding it hard to find onhold domains with high link popularity. The domains I seek are always taken and I don't know how it's done. I am using domainsbot.com to find these domains, I do'nt bother with domains that expire in 24h, 48hr, 72hr nor RGP domains because I have wasted countless hours and usually find them taken. I have even waited for the email notifications that tell me when new lists are available and do an immediate search through these lists just to find that the high trafficked domains are usually taken.

Any suggestions or programs or whois searches or whatever that you guys recommend, what's the best out of the best?

I don't do expired domains myself so I can't really suggest anything for you.

I guess you realize that Google has some funky new expired domain killer now because you mentioned link pop and not PR. That aside, there may still be some advantage to expireds in some of the other engines but as far as Google goes I've seen many webmasters lose entire years worth of work.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with expireds, if I might ask?

This site has always worked well for me(when I was domain sniping) but, now with the new google"death" rule for the back links on these names its just not worth it to me. Here yiu go though: www.namepursuit.com.
