I need an advice please.
Since some years a buddy and I operate a small website.
He registered the .com adress, but some time ago lost interest in the site and asked me now if I would like to take over the registration.
Now the problem:
-he did not pay the last necessary fees (1 1/2 years) ago.
-the admin-c registration is not on his name, but on the registration company
-the domain is about to expire in some months
How would be the best way to deal with this?
TIA

Have you try the site search to see if maybe the subject wasn't already covered.
The site search link is at the top of the page

When he registered the domain, he must have given at least an email address to register it.
I think there is also the option of "Emergency renewal" where even if you don't own the domain, you can renew it.
I was in a situation where there was a domain that I used and the nameservers pointed to my site, but the owner email of the domain wasn't valid anymore, I was still able to renew it even though I couldn't prove I owned it.
