Hello,

I am in urgent need of some advice, and would be very very very greatful if someone could help me out.

Basically, I have been monitoring a domain name that i am very interested in registering. Recently the domain went into REDEMPTIONPERIOD status and i didnt know that much about domainnames. I contacted the company who i register my domains with telling them it is very important that i dont loose this domain once it goes back on for general public registration.

My registrar told me it would be best to use a service called SnapBack by SnapNames.Com, i went there to secure my domain with the SnapBack service but realised someone has already secured that domain and that SnapNames only offers one subscription per domain.

Can anyone plzzzzzzzzzzz plzzzzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzzz plzzz plzzzzzzz give me some advice on any possible ways that i may have to actually obtain the domain.

I would be very very greatful for anyones help

Many Thanks

Cheers
Linda

Most of the people who use Snapnames are squatters. You'll probably end up buying it from them.

If you haven't already, you might want to read some of the recent threads here about expired domains.

Just use the site search here and search for ....

expired domains

take a look for namewinner, works like snapnames but on a bid basis, only costs if they get you the domain.

A domain where the status is set to REDEMPTIONPERIOD can still be renewed for a period of thirty days, but at a premium price.

This issue was covered recently at [webmasterworld.com ] and all Registrars should be able to help you with renewing the domain in this redemption period - it's probably worth pushing them on this if the domain is important to you as services such as SnapNames and ExpireFish do not guarantee they will successfully win the domain back.
