New.net domains - renewing?

I kept a very small number of fairly choice new.net domains, and I'm curious as to whether WebmasterWorld members are still renewing any, or whether they have been dumped...

The number of users with direct ISP accessibility seems to keep rising, and I've found a small number with good PR via their domain.ext.new.net style listing. Very few seem to have decent PR, though.

Am I the last one with any? Is anyone successfully selling these in the "domains for sale" aftermarket?

Well, I dumped all mine. I had like 30 choice ones. Never saw any traffic and the fact that most se's won't index them - sucked.

I dumped most of mine last year, but kept a few. I guess the real question is whether anyone will recognize new.net's domains as "official", or whether other registrars like Verisign might be awarded the same TLDs to sell to new buyers.

imho these "domains" are worthless, it is hard to see why new.net are any better than the scammers who sold .usa domain names. The figures that they quote for the number of people who can "view" their domain are hopelessly optimistic. The fact remains that the vast majority of internet users cannot, and never will be able to, see these pseudodomains.

Seems like the "nays" have it! :) If I thought I could "sell these domains for a price" I probably would... Is there any secondary market for them?
