I need to buy a domain name off an Indian registrar company but need to ensure that I am not frauded and lose both my money and the domain name in the process, etc..
Does anyone know of a trustworthy Third Party intermediate company who can negotiate the transfer by first of all moving the name to another registrar, and then let go of my funds once I know that the name is absolutely safe in my hands. IE once I have changed the logon and password at the Registrar of my choice, etc.
Thanks,

There must be a trusted third party company set up to do transfers securely?
I have looked at Escrow.com as a solution but that is no good as they release the funds once the WHOIS is changed and not after the password has been sent and changed, etc.

I just found this info on a website:
"Typically, the launching of a complaint regarding a domain name costs approximately $2500 (USD) [fee] per domain name (a discount may be available where multiple domain names are involved). You are also required to pay (through your lawyer) $2000 (USD) [disbursement] to the dispute-resolution provider (for a single panelist) just to commence the Complaint. So, the total cost on average is about $4500 (USD) [fee + disbursement]."

What you are worried about is being charged for goods, and the possibility of never getting them.
I suggest you tell the seller to open an enom account, and you do the same, use a local lawyer to handle the transaction, and everything should be alright.
On another note, I have bought domains from people and NOT had to pay until the domain was under my full control.
