Apparently the store that boasts of offering "Earth's Biggest Selection" wants to make sure that the offerings include domain names. And why not, one might ask -- you can already buy all the hardware and software needed to reach the Internet, so why not a domain -- especially if you are a third-party seller on the site.

They must have big fingers, to get into all those pies. Fair play to them, make a buck where you can.

So they are not going to resell the service, but be an actual registrar?

i believe they are the strongest people on the internet.
They own waybackmachine and the largest cache and backup copies of the internet amounting to petabytes and up ( dont ask me in how many gb's ) so huge data can get them the true statisticks of the internet. and the user flow control.

So we all can expect competative domain name market these days. Who knows maybe we'll can buy domains for less than $1.
