Yahoo is not caching my pages but they are showing some of my cloaked text in the sample snippets below the link.

Is there some way to to let Yahoo know which text on the page you'd prefer they use as a description?

The description comes from the page you serve them. If you cloak, then that is what they will use.

If you really wanted to confuse your competitors, you could put the blurb on your page that you show human visitors in a "commented out" area.

What a tangled web we weave, when at first we practice to to cloak all over the goddam place.
[Sorry for the lost rhyme.]

There are good and legitimate uses for 'cloaking', its not automatically SEO-noir.
Still, its all too easily seen as black hat, so I avoid it like poison.

Anybody showing the engines one version of a page, and another to regular browsers, is courting disaster
as I see it. It can't be hard for the engines to search out this sort of thing.

Personally, I'm too lazy to learn the ins and outs of something that might get my site penalized,
whether its justifiable or not. It just seems goofy to me. - Larry

Let's keep this thread on-topic. If you want to start a different thread on why you don't cloak, be my guest, or you can post in one of dozens of others that exist here. :)
