There are good and legitimate uses for 'cloaking', its not automatically SEO-noir.
Still, its all too easily seen as black hat, so I avoid it like poison.
Anybody showing the engines one version of a page, and another to regular browsers, is courting disaster
as I see it. It can't be hard for the engines to search out this sort of thing.
Personally, I'm too lazy to learn the ins and outs of something that might get my site penalized,
whether its justifiable or not. It just seems goofy to me. - Larry
