Hi,

does anyone of you have experiences with those?
I do undrestand that a home made is probably the best, which is what im planning to do.
I personally think that the one starting with the letters "fan" is the best out there. Am i right? (i need this to know about the "a must features")
And another question - whwere to get up-to-date ip lists?
The script mentioned above claims to have such list (updated 4 times in 24 hours) Can it be used with a homegrown script?
Actually i have one more question - what are the most important features a cloaking script must have today? (besides good and up-to-date ip list)

Let's not discuss the merits of particular software packages here.

As far as I know, the IP list mentioned is updated regularly. It can be used with a homegrown script. It is subscription based, so you definitely have to pay for it. There are also free lists available.

In my opinion, the most important feature (besides reliable cloaking) is the ease of maintenance. Do the IP lists update automatically? Are program updates easy to apply? Is technical help readily available? Important questions to answer if you plan on buying a commercial product.

Rolling your own is always fun. That's what I did, a long time ago :)

What are the advantages of having a programmer building your own cloaking script instead of buying one from some other developer found in Dmoz.

thanks,

Well, the most obvious advantage is that you get to specify exactly what features you want the application to have. The biggest downside is that it will be more expensive.

How about selling your script :)
