I received a visit from a *.googlebot.com (64.68.*) IP with a Mozilla Agent. The IP usually identifies itself with the usual Googlebot UA.
The agent is: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/2003070
I was wondering if someone has an insight on what does it mean. Is someone physically looking at my site? Or is this probably a UA cloaking test, throwing random UA to see if my site changes?
I do cloak for optimized delivery per country. Several countries depending on IP receive a different copy of my site. I also give the english version to googlebot.
Hope this won't get me banned. Looking forward to any responses.
