Hi,

I have a website which sells a niche product in a rather big market. It has excellent potential but I just don't have the energy to promote it anymore.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any places where it can be offered. I have seen bizbuysell.com but I didn't like it. Does anyone hear have any tips on the best ways to sell a site.

P.S. I am not just selling the site, but in fact selling the copyright of the product.

Regards,

Tim

ebay - If you are looking for something reasonable like a few hundred to a few thousand - ebay is a good place - I think.

I routinely watch ebay for domains and sites. They fetch some pretty decent prices. www.ww.com recently sold there for $23,000 (no kidding). I guess Brett was out of town that week as someone else bought it.

Timmy - why don't you like bizbuysell? I bought a business there and use it often. It will expose you to more sophisticated buyers.

This might be part of the problem - buyers are generally only willing to pay for a multiple of last year's cash flow. That means no fluff - i.e. this product has great potential, i'm only doing x, but if you manage it well it will do 10x - 4 years ago people were paying for this sort of thing, not now....

Thanks for your comments guys. I hadn't considered Ebay, but it maybe a good option.

It's not that I didn't like bizbuysell, but I felt this was more for established businesses and the prices offered were way above what I am expecting. I don't intend to sell my product/business for that much.

Cheers,

Tim

Search in Google for 'sell my site' and you'll come up with another option that hasn't already been mentioned.
