Creating MS Reader eBooks

I am trying to choose which compiler to use to create an eBook. (The original document is an MS Word file.) The two industry standards seem to be Adobe and MS Reader.

I have tried out Adobe through their website's free trials. I am pleased with the results.

I was surprised to see that while there is an MS Reader, there does not seem to be any such thing as MS Writer.

Therefore, how does one create an MS Reader document? I tried www.ebookexpress.com, but the results were far from impressive.

Thank you in advance.

Follow this link. It's a google group search. Something about an addin for MS word and some 3rd party tools.

I think.

I want to be more specific about my statement, in my original posting, that the results of www.ebookexpress.com were far from impressive:

1. A one-page MS Word document compiled into a 5-page document when viewed in MS Reader, with very little on each page. So the reader would have to constantly turn pages. There was nothing in the program to change the settings for this.

2. Tab alignment was lost, so that the text was often uneven.

3. There was no ability to print the file.

I am wondering if these shortcomings are properties of MS Reader or of www.ebookexpress.com, so that if I find a better compiler, the results would be better.

Any information would be welcome.
