Hello!

I'm going to design an e-commerce site for water sports watches. This watches are very well known in Europe but the brand is going to be introduced in USA, so part of the challenge is to make brand awareness in USA and sell through the e-commerce site.

I think to have a succesful site you have to understand what the target audience needs and the best way to do it is asking, so I would make a market research and use the suggestions to make an e-commerce site that not only sells stuff but also approaches the life style of the audience.

By the way, are you a water sports fan? If so I would love to heard your ideas and coments.

Any suggestions for the brand awareness issue or just a brainstorming ideas...

Thank you in advanced for your time and help,

Best regards

If you have US rights to the name then use it as your domain name. Having a known brand in Europe is a leg up over creating a brand from scratch. I can think of plenty of Euro brand names that have been introduced into the US in my lifetime. Even if a person here has never heard of it, referencing its popularity overseas is a good way to build legitimacy with the US audience.

Hi there:

Yes, my client is the exclusive distributor for USA and The Caribean Islands.

We bought the domain name using the brand name+USA.com

Thank you so much for your advice!
