Are there any studies on this?
I naturally lean toward having a "Store" button in the navigation, because clicking on "Store" seems less of a commitment to buy something, and almost an invitation to look around, like a products page.
Going into a store echoes the offline experience, and is non-threatening. But once the surfer is in the store they are only one to three clicks away from consummating their purchase.
Is "BUY" in the navigation bar more effective?
