Image Library Software - commerce

does anyone have any feedback on good software?

i'm sniffing around for a very good commercial software package for an online photo library (transactional). so far i really like ImageFolio Commerce but the sales support is horrific - i've emailed them several times with no reply and that makes me nervous about future tech support.

Also like DigitalPhotosOnline but that would prefer my own software/hosting solution so that i am not reliant on another company. if a hosted solution failed i would have to start from scratch.

looked at open source content management systems too, but keep coming back to a purpose built, off the shelf software application. i also shudder at the thought of developing myself from scratch - too complex when there are purpose built solutions existing.

Has anyone used ImageFolio Commerce? Or does anyone know of alternative software in that price range (AU$2,000) that will provide an end to end solution?

and finally are there any issues with buying a US built piece of software for an Australian based site? are there any issues with the transactional component?

We've looked at ImageFolio Commerce (a while ago now), and had a couple of concerns about it, but nothing that we couldn't have solved with some development time. We always found the support from them to be good to excellent though

Shouldn't be. We're using it in the UK just fine
