I was just wondering, does anyone know of an strong and active ecommerce community site where they allow review requests of sites? I'd even consider a list of consultants if there were some sort of reviews or comments from community members on their experiences. I've learned a great deal here, now I need to get down to an overhaul for usability and such and could use some help specific to what I'm working on. Thx.

Based on what I've seen, that is a contradiction in terms. in the ecom world, site+reviews =spam.

Agreed. The only really good e-commerce communities that permit reviews are product specific ones, usually run by the software developers themselves, and with the involvement of company staff (or lead developers in the case of open source e-commerce packages)

They can treat site reviews as customer support and showcases for their products functionality, which we here in a more general environment cannot. As Brett says, requests for site reviews can quickly degenerate into an open invitation to drop URLs

There are plenty of usability discussions in the HTML & Browsers [webmasterworld.com] forum, plus a scattering elsewhere, which I'm sure you'll find useful

smackman,
If you're willing to pay for that help or do a exchange of services you could try a post in the Commercial Exchange forum (sans URL of course).
