While examining prices for dropship members and comparing them to prices on the web I have noticed something I find to be somewhat disconcerting. Places like Amazon are selling many things at or even below the price of dropship membership sites. Volume buying and leverage I suppose. I have found some exceptions and am seeking to capitalize on them.
That said I would like to start a discussion on this if others are willing.
What do you think the future of dropshipping is?
If you have good dropshippers that will dispatch goods on time for you, you cannot go wrong as you have no overheads to worry about.
If your dropshipper like ours sees that you are a serious business you can negotiate discounts to rival your competition.
People will turn more to dropshipping when they cannot keep up with the demand from customers, so yes the future is good.
We are also moving to Spain in October and we could not do this if we still had our warehouse, stock, staff etc.
Food for thought.
:)
Bek.
However, my main supplier also offers me dropshipping as well, so I use them when an item goes out of stock and I need it dispacthed asap.
My dropshipper charges me at wholesale prices and charges a fixed rate postage fee, whihc is usually expensive. However, if a customer buys a heavier item, I will sropship it as it will save me a few pounds on postage.
I wouldn't like to rely 100% on Dropshippers, but as a backup, I wouldn't be without mine now.
Congrates on the move to Spain. I like the thought of mobility the dropshipping offers and you have just demonstrated why.
