Hi,

I am setting up a site for a photographer who is starting a small printing company. Does anyone have recommendations for reliable merchant accounts (credit card processing) with low monthly fees?

Thanks!

Are you in the United States? Will you be doing more than $1,000 a month?

Each merchant is very different.

If you are in the United States - you can usually get a discount rate of about 2.19% if you are processing under $50,000 a month. If you process more - that rate usualy can be reduced.

If you are not processing $1,000 a month, you might consider an IPSP (internet payment service provider) like Paypal or 2CO.

Thanks Corey.

I am in San Francisco. Looking at processing between $1,000 - $5,000 to start. Probably 10 - 50 transdactions at $100 and up. Should say this is a new venture for hte photographer and may not work out.

An IPSP might be better for you in the long run then until you are established.

being new - most MAPs (merchant account providers) will still accept you.
