Hi,

I work at a center that houses several bike-related companies, non profits, and individuals. Some of us maintain our own web sites. These are usually focused on some specific topic or product within the bike world, but all of us are bike people who would like to be able to sell bike stuff. There are lots of products that are relevant to all of our web sites, like Brooks saddles and tires, for example.

I am implementing a shopping cart on my web site and I would like to offer the ability to the other members of the center to offer my shopping cart to their viewers (either on my site or their sites), but with a different skin. That way only one of us has to install a shopping card and write product descriptions, and only one of us has to buy a HTTPS certificate. By using their own skin, they will be able to customize the experience to their customers/readers. Things like colors, logos, and fonts. Also, it would be nice if they could set different weights on the categories so that certain categories had higher relevance on their sites.

I am currently implementing Ecommerce Templates after having seen several positive recommendations on this forum. I am not so far in that I couldn't switch. Are there particular Shopping Carts that are well suited to my goals? I have found Ecommerce templates to be OK in terms of stylesheet implementation, but not great.

secure certificates are bound to the domain name, you'll have to buy one for each, or share the domain name and just change the graphics...
