Hi there,

I saw a few threads about this but they were a few years old so I'm starting a new one.

Can everyone share their recommendations for processors and what the charges are?

Right now I'm with Beanstream and TD and despise working with them. They are unintelligent and have increased and added on all these odd service charges so I'm paying them upwards of 10 percent of my gross.

They charge me:

Chargebacks: $10 - absolutely no service and cost is refunded to customer immediately without asking merchant

Per transaction: $0.25

Discount: 2.95 %

Credit Cards: Visa and MC.

Monthly Rental Cost: $29

This is all US since I have a US dollar merchant account, however I am looking to switch to Canadian again. I tried contacting the Costco Nova people but they are even dumber than TD and Beanstream. They couldn't confirm whether they accept US credit cards or not.

Do you have a social security number / ID issued in the United States? If not, due to the cross-border acquiring regulations of Visa, Cardservice is the only MAP that I know of that will support foreign merchants.

Try PSIGate... I have worked with both Beanstream and PSIgate and found PSIgate to be a lot easier to deal with.

Beanstream's backend was a little better though.. not that i really ever used it as I integrate my e-commerce sites backends directly with the XML API's (both support XML API)
