Hi,

I am in the process of setting up the shopping cart for my website.
It turns out that Pay Pal does not transfer money to the country where i live.

Questions :

1) What are the other recommended payment methods?
2) Does the absence of PayPal have a serious impact on conversion percentages?

Thanks

What country are you in? Do your local banks offer any solutions?

I am in Israel.

The local banks can accept credit cards.

I don't understand how that works though.
Once a customer pays with a credit card , how does the shopping cart transfer the money to the bank?

The shopping cart i use is free and hosted on a remote server.

Rani,

I know of a website. One of the features of the website is that it offers people in countries such as yours, the ability to have Paypal direct deposit funds onto a debit card. The debit is a US bank account debit card.

This opens the doors for residents of

Argentina
Brazil
Chile
Ecuador
India
Jamaica
Uruguay
Costa Rica
Dominican Republic
Iceland
Israel
Malaysia
Thailand
Turkey
Venezuela

to now be able to accept Paypal. The interested users simply will purchase a debit card, (FDIC issured funds), and when you want to withdraw funds from your Paypal account, you simply instruct Paypal to direct deposit to your US bank account (which is the debit card), and the funds are loaded in 1-2 business days and you can withdraw the cash at any ATM which has the Cirrus or Maestro or Interac symbol.

I do not want to pump the company on here or list the domain name, but if you want to PM me I would be happy to give you the URL.

I suggest going to Yahoo and typing in A1Exchangers and look at the debit card section...this will solve your problem.

This involves a merchant account and a payment processor. Some banks can help with you with merchant account and refer you to the payment processor9s) they work with. But it's generally more difficult to setup than PayPal or other all-in-one type of system, especially if you have little e-commerce experience.

I have never used them, but you might try WorldPay.

Thanks for the help!

My problem is solved. My customer found out that her parents have a bank account in the United States.

We signed up for PayPal and now everything is fine.I hope....
