We're about to launch a new e-commerce site and our merchant account recommends using authorize.net as a secured cc provider. Has anyone used this provider and has anyone had any issues? They have a nice on-line report form.

They are very good. Support is great - I can speak to someone using their "live chat" within seconds normally, if I have a problem.
The interface code is pretty straightforward and they are one of the better supported gateways from a shopping cart "add-on" perspective.

I've been using authorize.net for 15 months. Prior to that, paypal was only way I accepted credit cards. I'm delighted with authorize.net -- mainly because sales have increased almost 40% since accepting credit cards in a traditional manner (i.e., not paypal exclusively.)

In 15 months the authorize.net site went flaky maybe twice -- and for short periods of time. I've been online long enough not to expect 100% perfection. The online descriptions in their admin panel could be more informative, but I found the answers I needed (mainly in the beginning when I first was setting it up) through a phone call. I highly recommend them.

We have started recently an email exchange concerning their Partner / Reseller Program. However, they failed to respond to our last email asking for some specific details. Now, more than a month we still do not appear having received any news from them. That is a disturbing indication of how they treat their potential customers and partners!

Their rates aren't that great in my opinion.
