Is there a way to set up tracking so that I would know at a locality or county level where my traffic is coming from? I am setting up a local web site and want to know traffic from each locality. Is it possible?

google analytics/urchin will tell which countries, states or cities are sending you sales, but i'm sure there are plenty of other similar options also.

The new Extreme Tracker, even the free version, offers some geographic info. I'm not sure how accurate any of that geographic stuff is.

You can get free information from various sites:

[google.com...]

If you really wanted, you could integrate with one of these third parties (via screen scraping, etc.) to get the data for your application.

However, to get accurate information on demand you will have to purchase an IP to location database and yearly updates.

IP can only be traced to the data center.
