Hi!

<short_version>
Customer wants to take payments in order to hand out a PIN that's used for a purchase...

Customer pays...receives a PIN...and then is able to utilize that PIN to receive their purchased item..
</short_version>

They have a static site currently, and in the interest of ease of setup, I'm pondering if the purchase of some e-store and a new domain that would make this easier. The user would get redirected to the e-store to make the purchase.

The current site is static, and the hosting company is far from helpful. I've been thru setting up a static site to take credit cards before, however that customer provided a product that was sent to the user, in this instance I need to simply provide some information for the payment.

I'm just not sure where to start researching the how-to for this...

I'd like the user to receive the information after the transaction within the website, however if my solution involves the user receiving an email with the info, that's ok too...

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated...

Thanks!
You guys ROCK!

Is this a download? Most carts will actually allow you to limit the download to two, three, etc or a number of days.

Also, what language?

hi!

no..not actually a download.....

well...I guess it could be..the info could be packaged into a .pdf or something for the user to view...

(english is the language...)

all the user would receive is a PIN in order to access a site telephone system...to receive the latest information from this company..

(if it helps...the customer has a sports betting site, he provides info by having the customer call a specific phone number, enter their PIN and gets the latest info concerning team info and such...)

thanks!

Well the server would ned to be connected to the "phone server" as well to send that information over.

Any reason why he does not want to use the same system he already has set up

ok...

the customer has to enter their PIN number into the phone when they place the call...in order to access the information...

as it is now...they have to manually take the credit card...and assign the PIN to the customer...in order for the customer to access the info...

they want an automated solution to hand out the PIN...take the credit card and issue the user the PIN...

I just figured that the e-comm portion would be easier to setup using a standard ecomm site..

easier to take the credit card...I just need some solution to handing out the PIN once the CC has been taken and approved...

You might check out osCommerce to see if they have that available. I know that it is pretty easy to set up
