Any one have any experience with Dropshipdesign? I'm looking to start a new ecomm site and need a supplier (just in case anyone has any suggestions. :) ) thats reliable with a good profit margin. These guys look good to me , but thats the problem they look to good to be true for the price. Just curious if anyone has anything to share about them. Thanks in advance.

Scam. Do you really think that they care whether you make a cent once they have your cash?

If the store they build for you is just the same as every other sucker who has handed over their money, chances are very high you won't make a penny.

They are basically taking YOUR money to run THEIR website to sell THEIR stuff.

Take anywhere that claims "94% profits on products like Electronics" with a huge handful of salt.

I odnt believe for one minute that the pricing for their radar detector is true.

Give them a miss and visit a good trade show.

94% margin? Sign me up today!
We avg. 40% and thats huge considering the ticket size....You need to get down and dirty with the actual manufacturer or supplier..
Trade shows are the best avenue....we just did the SEMA auto show in lv and found some very receptive new possibilities...it really gives you a chance to access people face to face who would never accept a cold call from you!

Yeah I know 94% profit margin is crazy and I wasn't counting on actually getting that. I figure they probally have 1 or 2 items they sell like that and the rest is around 30-40% (so they can make the claim you know.) As far as the generic website goes I intended on editing it the way I wanted it. I would love to go the trade show route, but the problem is I'm a broke college student and I simply don't have the money to stock inventory, pay for ecomm hosting, and to setup a new merchant account (or the credit). Thanks for all the input.

P.S. If anyone could reccomend a good dropshipper (or multiple dropshippers) I would be very appreciative

Let's say I gave you a dropshipper that I know.

Why would I give their contact info to you?

Why would they agree to drop ship anything for you?

Do you have a history of successfully selling anything on the Internet or Mail Order?

How are you going to let people know you exsist and convince them to buy anything from you?

How much sales $ do you think you can generate?

Geee Thanks for the shot of encouragement. I know how to run and promote a website if thats any help, I started selling SMC merchandise online at 13, I ran that site till I had to shut it down due to family illness when I was 15. I could always go back to SMC (I'm sure if you've been around ecomm long you know about SMC) but I want something a little more unique or useful to sell. If anyone can tell me anything constructive (not that the questions of the last post weren't constuctive, they just didn't provide for any advice in solving those issues.) I would greatly appreciate it. I also apologize for dragging this thread out but I really need some good solid advice on how to find a good dropshipper (all I seem to be able to find online appear to be scams like dropshipdesign.com). Thanks again

What kind of merchandise?

The manufacturers and companies I sell for don't just charge a fee and make anyone a distributor or dealer unless you can answer the questions I posed above and are someone with sales experiance enough to convince them you will make them money.

Do a search for worldwidebrands. They provide the only legitimate list of suppliers that I know of.
Even if you don't buy their information, read their articles.
