Hi,

I'm looking to go from email based customer service to 'ticket' based - to get customers going to the support, giving them a knowledgebase to look at first, and then enter a ticket with required info - e.g. order number etc. Don't need much more than that, so its a relatively basic setup.

So far the most suitable I've seen is PerlDesk - any other options to recommend?

If you're looking for free software cerebrus is pretty good with one email license. However Kayako is the best for paid service.

another vote for Cerberus here...very stable and feature-rich. Not very pretty, and a little daunting at first, but it will speed up your response times and accuracy and leave your own email inbox open to business development and other non-support related issues.

Look at HelpSpot. 2Checkout is using DeskPro. I like their interface.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm going to go initially with Kayako - I like the customer interface, seems relatively easy to configure, and being able to receive texts is a great option, as it will stop the constant email checking currently in place.
