Looking for any ideas as to the conversion rate of free content subsribers to paid subscriptions.

Current free content consists of 1 free mp3 file per week, with no text. the subscription will be $3 a month for 3 mp3 files with text (like songs+lyrics) per week. The paid content will also be of higher quality with some additional bonuses.
(ignore the potential for piracy, imagine it a perfect world)

No offence intended, but since your content seems to be non-original (?), and "nice to have" rather than "need to have", with an abundandance of alternative (free?) sources, I would be really surprised if you would get a good conversion %. (Unless your name is Steve Jobs, of course.)

If your content is unique, it's a slightly different story --e.g., recordings of your own band. But in that case, I'd offer "fan club membership with free songs, (etc. etc.)" for $27/year, rather than three songs for $3/month.
