Well, for the first time people are getting responses other than "it will be fixed in a few days". Somebody just forwarded a response of "Unfortunately you wont be able to download it to IIF file." from a Paypal Tech. Personally I have yet to get a straight answer from Paypal regarding why this problem is still going on or whether this is a permanent issue. The closest thing I've gotten was two weeks ago when a technician said they are obviously bringing Quickbooks compatibility back because so many people use it. Since then I've been told it will be fixed in a few days three times and then yesterday I was told there's no update on the situation on the phone.
Does anybody here have any better info on what is going on? Downloading our transactions from Paypal to Quickbooks has become a daily task. I honestly cannot imagine a legitimate reason for such a large payment processing company to remove support for such a widespread piece of accounting software.
The missing .iif format is an unexpected behavior after the last web site update in the PayPal History Log page. This will be corrected with the next site update.
The next site update can be found in the Policy Updates when you are logged into your PayPal account.
The next effective date for updates is August 19th, 2005.
Thank You,
Stephen
