Hello everyone

I was wondering if there is a cheap way of sending money to china. At the moment it costs me £25 each time for a telegraphic transfer. I know there is western union but unfortunately my supplier won't use them. If anyone any suggestions.

thanks

I'm guessing from your message that you are in the UK.

Try speaking to Travelex or Alliance and Leicester business banking dept.

Both of these offer international payment services at significantly reduced charges if you make regular International payments (around £5 per transfer I think).

The low costs may be subject to minumum number of transfers per year, and I think A&L transfers require business to have been trading two years, but worth checking.

You might inquire with your bank or card processor. Some of the larger outfits have an amazing array of unadvertised services available. I'd feel a lot better going through my established-relationship bank than some third party, if it were possible.

Foo-like answer: buy something at the local discount store. :)
