about a few weeks ago, i posted about the check problem paypal . they had send a misprinted check.

they have admitted that the problem was at their end BUT refused to revert the check making or cancellation charges.

After almost one and a half month of haggeling, I have lost money due to their mistakes. Their representative wrote to me that I must be feelign frustrated over this but they cannot revert the charges because they are charged for it from the bank.

I still have no money from them. Being a web development professional, I dont think I can now ever recommend or use paypal as payment processor.

No one likes losing hard earned money.

How much did paypal charge you to cancel and reissue another check?

I am surprise to see Paypal still charging you after they admitted that its their fault making the mistake on the check. This is serious bad customer service.

$5 for making the check and $15 for cancelling it.

it leaves a bitter taste in mouth.

With some help, I was able to recover a portion of my loss $20 and I guess it is nice to have a friend in paypal.

They have posted back $20 in my account.

The loss due to currency conversions could however not be recovered.

However, Today Morning, I still recieved a canned response from PayPal that they cannot refund the money ( where as it was already recovered yesterday ). I still think PayPal's customer care people should be more vigilant and aware and should reply after studying each case. Afterall they take weeks to reply to issues.

Thanks <snip>. :) and thanks paypal.
