Tracking Late Shipments

Wondering if anyone has a system in place for tracking late deliveries by FedEx. I only hear about it when customers inform us, but it must happen more often and each time the cost is refundable. Wondering if there are any ready made solutions out there or people have built their own tracking system.

Thanks.

FedEx and UPS both have e-mail notification system services that will communicate when a package is shipped, encounters an issue, and when it is delivered. When I ship packages, I have all three checkboxes selected, but move shipped and delivered notices to the Sent Items. Only the Exceptions make it to my Inbox. You can manually monitor those Exceptions for on-time delivery issues.

Aside from those two services, I get the most refunds from USPS Express Mail delivery issues.
