I need some tips optimizing oscommerce pages

Hi dudes, I am launching a shop soon, using paypal and monet order, anyways I wanted to know your feedbacks on what the best way to optimize oscommerce pages, I made sure to have the keywords and the .htm in the urls, text, what else would you suggest?

I'd suggest you make sure each page validates and that you write juicy copy for the search engines.

Also be sure that each of your product names are unique, with unique descriptions.

The largest temptation is to skimp on the text (as mentioned above). Write good copy, and have informative and unique category and product descriptions.

we have done ALOT of seo work to OSC in our online shops. Sticky me for some urls. You'll see simple ways to make OSC into candy for google and their friends.

Well, from my experience the biggest problem with OSC in terms of SEO is a SID added to each link in case, if client does not accept cookies. Most search englines do not support cookies, hence ugly SID IDs are added to each link, successfully preventing your site from being indexed. Use "SID Killer" contribution to avoid this problem.

Yes, It does. Installing the header tags controller gives you control of individual page titles and meta information, and ultimate seo urls gives you keyword rich urls with html file names. There are contributions available for much more-you just need to be capable of cutting/pasting and following instructions.
