I am looking for a simple shopping cart that can be easily embedded into my existing site.

The site only sells one product and most e-commerce solutions (ZenCart, osCommerce, etc) seem way too overblown for what i'm trying to do. I do not need product categorization, multi-column or fixed layouts, etc.

Basically, I want the shopping cart to appear within my site's navigation and design framework.

I do not want the shopping cart to open in a new window with only my site's logo next to it.

I also do not want to use the PayPal cart (I'm using that now).

Any suggestions? Many thanks!

Will you be using PayPal as your payment processor, though?

I wouldn't mind using PayPal on the back-end as long as the user's didn't see anything on the front-end that referenced PayPal.

I setup a demo of the Platium Cart from PDNSI.com. The transactions are processed and collected by linkpoint.com.

The cart works very well but looks horrible and also requires that a new window open to complete the checkout process. The new window offers little customization so the page does not look anything like the rest of the site.

Any thoughts?

If you use PayPal there's no way of hiding that as your customers will go onto their secure server to complete the order.

Most carts though will allow you to offer PayPal along with another payment processor / method.

I personally love PayPal; however, I've found that many users still regard it as being unsafe. Plus, they do not like setting up a PayPal account.

I'd prefer a method that works like a regular shopping cart...you select the product, the quantity, enter your billing info, enter your shipping info and submit. Done.

Can anyone recommend a simple customizable (i.e. will look like my site) solution?

Thanks.

You don't have to setup an account if you're paying by credit card.

True - but the point is more than I want to move away from PayPal entirely and create a seamless shopping/checkout experience.

I installed osCommerce last night and it looks like it is a possible solution; however, I expect it will take a lot of customization to get it to look like my current site.

Thanks for all of your input.
