Why not use words like [link]Buy Now[/link]?

That's one way to do it. I'm just trying to figure what triggers best in people's minds.

Use a red color Buy Now button.

I would avoid using red. Red = stop, anger, aggression - not the message I want to convey

But the idea of using color is the right idea. I just wouldn't change the color of the link to be different from the other links on the site if you are, in fact, using a text link. Use a button instead and you can draw you're user's eye to it much better.

As for the text, use something strong and action oriented. A clearly defined action is better than a vague action. Click Here is better than Widget but Buy this Widget Now is better still.
