I am researching a good and reliable payment gateway service provider for UK and europe market for a client site. Could someone experience please list down few to help me? Brief description with the name company appriciated.

we've been using Secpay for a while. was fast/simple to setup, charges are quite reasonable.

you have to arrange merchant account through one of the major high-street UK banks. We used natwest-streamline, they cahrge 2.6% and oay out within 3-4 days of transaction.

Nochex is quite good, they accept all uk-resistered debit/credit cards and rate is good.

if your payments are less than £100, the buyer does not need to register with them.

you can withdraw funds to your UK bank account, it takes about 4-5 days to transfer.

As you said they are very good for UK only transactions.
