What does it mean by an 'unsatisfactory registered credit card' and how do you change this?

I am not sure either, then again I am not an expert on Paypal. If you want an answer today, call them (they have office hours 7 days a week). If you e-mail them, be prepared to wait a week for a response. Their e-mail reponse time is awful!

I've never heard that term either. If you're seeing it in an email, watch out - it could be a spoof trying to get your card number or PayPal password.

To ensure that your credit card information on file is up to date, go to the PayPal website by typing the URL into your browser, log in, click on Profile, then click on Credit Cards. You can update expiration dates, billing addresses, etc., from that section.

Do not click through a link in an email asking you to update your credit card information. If there is a problem with your account, you can find out by going directly to the PayPal website and logging in. The PayPal system will usually alert you after login when there is a problem with your account.
