OS Commerce issues

Managing Stock with OS Comerce

Does anyone have experience of working with OS Commerce. I've been creating an online shoe store but because OS commerce treats size as a product attribute I either have to enter every size as a product which messes up the "See new products" function or hack the code to add a lower level stock system.

Has anyone faced this issue?

Have you tried the support forum for oscommerce? You're more likely to get an answer there.

There is a mod available to track inventory by size and color, or more generically attribute. I am not sure what it is called, but we just installed it to track our clothing inventory.

The contribution is named QTPro I think the latest version is 4.0. It works pretty well for tracking and allows you to show instock and out of stock messages on the product page.

With this installed you shouldn't have to list each attribute as a new product and you can just use attributes normally.
