Need to Parse data from Authorize.net

I've recently signed up a client of mine for credit card processing with Authorize.net. I'm setting up the system but am unsure how to parse the returned comma-delimited data, once the card has been run through their system. Any help on this would be much appreciated. What language to use, samples etc?

You need to log in to authorize.net and get the user's documentation, it is very thorough. They also have pretty good customer support via phone.

I have looked through their documentation and haven't found any clues as to how to go about parsing the returned data. Had you seen anything in the documentation?
