...Now I'm wondering what took us so long ;-)!
Instead of getting our $$$ once a week, we now get a deposit daily...fees are less than 1/2, and the system is much more tightly integrated with our cart.
Frankly, the only plus to staying with 2CO (IMHO) would be if (for some reason) you are unable to qualify for your own merchant account. Other than that, 2CO has removed all the advantages their system provided a mechant selling physical products.
If they're smart and do that seriously, it could actually work.
I'm thinking of hanging onto them as an option (I have paypal as well), but adding a real merchant account as yet another option.
They actually have some interesting potential with the feeds they're going to do for Yahoo Stores / Froogle / etc.[/
We had a Froogle feed generator added to our cart for less than $300 in programming fees (an easy job for any decent database programmer). Click a button....save the file, and ftp it to your froogle account. Whole process takes less than a minute.
As for Yahoo shopping...they seem to crawl our products just fine on their own (although they generate much less sales than froogle - for us anyway (not that froogle is setting our sales on fire either).
In retrospect, I wish we had moved to our own merchant account a long time ago. It sure does make cash flow much less of an issue.
I am interested about it, but I have no merchant account, can I sign up with AuthorizeNet? If I can not, do you guys have better payment gateway than 2CO, which does not require merchant account?
