I need an very easy to use shopping cart to use for my clients. It must have all of the necessary features, inventory tracking, advanced shipping options, SE friendly, ability to add many attributes in a simple way (not like OSC) and be hosted on my server, not someone else's.

I have tried OSC and its just not simple and doesn't everything I need it to especially with inventory tracking and attributes.

I have looked in to MonsterCommerce and DigiShop but i don't know anyone who has ever used these or if they are worth anything at all.

I am wondering what other people use out there - as there must be a simple solution easy enough for a client to maintain.

Thanks

I have recently integrated ProductCart into our website. It seems to have all the features that we are after. You have an upfront fee of around $500, depending on which version you go with, but there are no monthly fees. The software is alot more search engine friendly than many e-commerce kits. If you do alot of websites, I think they also have a reseller program so you can make some $ for each one you sell for a customer's website. I hope this helps, best of luck!

always great fun when someone does a blatant url drop

... and then their homepage is showing raw code on the page because of an error!

Have a look at Ecommerce Templates available in PHP/MySQL offers inventory tracking and multiple product options. I've worked with both the ASP and the PHP versions. They offer a generic version that allows for you to intergrate the shopping cart into your own design. The structure is easy to work with unlike OSC (I do work with OSC when I have to). As far as SE friendly lets just say #1.
They have a forum should you have pre-sales questions.

thanks webtress

that shop does look cool - and i can actually edit it in Dreamweaver - but it lacks a lot in shipping (which i will prpobably need customized for each client anyway)
AND it seems I cant display an image for each option - so i cant show my shorts in blue, green, black, and grey unless i add them as separate items.
the serach goes on...

thans for all your help guys!

vrmant, both issue can be done you can add additional images to the products, for shipping there are developers that offer mods for the cart. the site in my profile uses this cart with a mod that has "will pick up at store" (no shipping charged)and extra handling for non-us customers. It has build-in weight based or priced based shipping and intergrates with USPS, UPS. Thank goodness most of my customers use the flat rate feature.

Has anyone heard of Anything Ecommerce?
i found them through another forum but had never heard of them prior to that. I emailed them for prices and to see whether or not they host the script or I own it.

go for b2bparadise then.i think it would be sufficient for the specifications of yours.and as per your primary need, it is very easy to use with multiple options to choose from and no complexity at all.
