We received a cashiers check from a bank in Guam. We will call the bank in the morning, but how can you really tell if it's fraudulent or not? It gets confusing between money orders, cashier's check and bank checks. I only feel safe if I know the customer actually paid the bank the money to receive the check. Still don't like the idea that it's from Guam. Especially since it's close to $800.00

Only ship when you have confirmation from your Bank that the funds are cleared in a bona-fide account in Guam and that the cheque is therefore genuine.

Confirmed. And if your bank call you back to say "no problemo" just ask them to drop you a fax with that written down.

Don't forget, the old scam is that some banks will credit you the money before they receive it. If it them turns out to be fraudulent they whip the cash back.

mdean, do not do it. It's a fake. The check will be cashed. Your bank will confirm that everything is OK but your bank charge back the money in about two weeks.
