Hi,

I need some advice on a reliable 3rd party credit card processor.

I've signed up for Paypal already & would like a 2nd one.

Also some merchants customers use there alternative payment system 3/4 of the time instead of Paypal.

They where up in Canada.

Any good ones out there,I don't want my account frozen, once I start making money.

You might want to check out 2CO. Once done, check out Moneris and PSIGate. Do your due diligence and see what the discount rate will be, transaction rate, and monthly rate. Compare all three to see what might be the best for you

Thanks,

Gary

Well I am in the United States. The two MAPs I gave you are primarily for Canadians.

2CO is a well known 3PP. They are quite a large company and their set-up fee is $49. But check with the MAPs also. They might be higher in set-up, but lower on the discount rate & depending on your volume, they will be cheaper in the long run

Noooooo!

2CO has been nothing but problems for me and many others. Just check out the Webmaster World search for 2CO, most posts are complaining about them:
Google Site Search [google.ca]

Every large company is going to have problems. The problem with that is people do not remember the past 45 days of service, where money was processed, etc they remember the 46th day when something happened and there was a problem. Unfortunately, most people tend to complain more about services / products of a company rather than praise.

I disagree completely.

Compare 2checkout to its peers and you will see that 2checkout is a terrible company. Avoid it at all costs.

I have been using both paypal and 2co to process credit cards on my website. Its been about 8 months now and I am quiet satisfied with both the companies :)

3PP is getting more and more difficult these days and you do not have many others out there.

You cannot really compare 2CO with Moneris or other MAP since they are two totally different businesses.

here's a page that lists some more:
[online-payment-processing.com...]

2co has terrible customer forum facility, and a very poor customer relationship attitude.
On the other hand, you might like to investigate SWREG - I *think* they handle more than just software sales, and you can join their 'forum' before you are a client I believe, and check out their attitude to helping customers which is poles apart from 2co - I was a member of their forum for a while(I have not used their payments service) and I was *very* impressed the way the owner of the business assisted users.
[disclaimer: I have NO affiliation with SWREG, and am no longer a forum visitor/member]

Which one has low processing fee?

2CO has quite high fees:
# $0.45 per Sale
# 5.5% of Sale Amount

For a couple of different Canadian processing plans,
it all depends. Most have different plans in each MAP.

One MAP that I know of has two different plans:
Set-up: $99.00
Monthly Fee: $44.95
Transaction Fee: $.29
Discount Rate: 3.49%

And
Set-up: $199.00
Monthly Fee: $29.95
Transaction Fee: $.45
Discount Rate: 3.95%
