Order Management Software Needed for Multiple Ecommerce Web Sites

Ecommerce Software Needed

Hi, I need a good suggestion for an order management program for multiple ecommerce sites. I currently own 5 health food related drop ship web sites. Each one is built around a different drop ship supplier so as to avoid the multiple shipping costs. They are also using different ecommerce solutions. For example, I am using OS Commerce for one. That site has 8000 products. Another site is using Yahoo store. That site has 600+ products. Another site uses a system called Vermotion, with 5500 products. Another site uses ShopSite, with 400+ products, but will be increased to 7000. The last site also has 400 products, but will be increased to 2000.

I have orders coming in from 4 of the sites so far and I need a way to get all of the orders coming in to one place.

I need something that is:

1) Web based Order Management(so it can be accessed from anywhere).
2) Can be easily configured to import the orders from the various web sites.
3) Needs to have the ability to import the costs of the products and display the total profit (profit from product & shipping) on the order summary page for each order. Because the costs from the various suppliers change, it must allow for reconciliation of the actual cost from the supplier. One idea would be to display the estimated profit in one color and then when it is reconciled to show it in another color.
4) Open Source (so that additional modifications can be made in the future).
5) Provide accounting functions or the ability to easily transfer orders to QuickBooks.

I realize that what I have described (especially #3) may not exist, but this is what I need and I am willing to pay a programmer to help me get to this point in the shortest amount of time. I have looked at Interchange, which seems to be pretty robust as an order management solution, but I'd need a programmer to get it to working as described above. Perhaps, there are some CRM or ERP solutions that would work.

Any recommendations or suggestions would be helpful...

Richard

This sounds like something that might need to be done by hire. maybe head over to the commercial exchange to see how much someone would charge to develop that for you.

Thanks, I'll do that. But, if anyone knows of a system that does these things, please let me know.

You mentioned ERP so I'll throw this one out there but it's fairy steep to implement dollar wise. Take a look at eEnterprise from Microsoft. It's an ERP that you can inject orders into directly from the web via Commerce Server.

There's a desktop based program called Order Manager by StoneEdge that imports orders from osCommerce, Yahoo!, and ShopSite off-the-shelf. Never heard of Vermotion, but they could custom write you an importer. Again, it is desktop based so that may not be what you want. You can always have a dedicated machine that you remotely log into using VNC (free) or GoToMyPc.com (Citrix).

Hi Richard I am looking for about the same options and have came up with several software based programs but the only web based is Ordermotion.

I am very appreciative of the responses posted. I have checked out eEnterprise, Order Manager by Stone Edge, and I currently have an email in to OrderMotion.

One of my issues is being able to have a remote customer service person being able to access the system. Stone Edge, as it is now, won't allow for that, although the President of the Company was very responsive and mentioned that having a web enabled module for remote customer service is in the works. The fact that they already integrate with 3 of the 4 stores I currently have is helpful, but it looks like it costs an additional $300 for each module. They are also working on providing an estimated vs. actual cost feature to allow you to update the orders with the actual costs.

I looked over the Order Motion web site and was impressed with their offering. Being web enabled is a huge advantage. I just need to check out the other things as well. So, I am waiting for an email from them.

My guess is that eEnterprise by Microsoft would be more costly and not as flexible.

eEnterprise is an 'enterprise solution' so I wouldn't jump in that arena if you don't have a farily decent budget that you can rely on. On the other hand it's highly customizable and extendable too.

Hi Rich:
You might also want to check out mainstret commerce. It seems like a very good option.
