I am an Ebay Powerseller and have several retail websites along with being a Paypal Verified Premier member.I will be relocating to Thailand from the US this coming year and would continue selling online.
Does anyone also Ebay and sell online from foreign countries and can I continue to have Paypal payments accepted to my new Thai bank account or should I keep a US account and transfer the dollars into Thai bahts in Thailand?
Any other US expatriates doing internet business in other countries please feel free to relate any advice.
Happy Holidays!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld hunka,
I know of one person here that lives in Thailand and does business. I'll see if I can track him down.

I think you should keep your US account, or else your PayPal account will not be able to accept credit cards directly from US individuals without having to sign up for membership.

We are in China.
Keep your US Bank account and an address in the US that corresponds with at least one of your credit cards.
Keep as a US account with PayPal and transfer the funds to your US Bank and then onward to where you want from there.
This is not tax or legal advice just makes life a lot easier to have that "US look".
(You may not realise this as you have not tried to purchase thru clickbank, for example, from China(may be the same for Thailand!)and they refuse it due to the IP location etc
Happy Holidays and good luck in Thailand

You might want to check first to see if Thailand is on the prohibited list. There are some countries where even just checking your paypal account in that country will cause it to be locked down.

There was a thread about this a while back and unfortuantely I could not find it again. I would defiantly ask paypal about this.
