Need an e-commerce provider that displays parent-child products

I am in the process of looking around for a shopping cart solution that displays parent product with associated child products.

I am leaning toward Volusion (formerly Store2003), but their parent-child product display is a bit quirky. <snip>

Note how there is an odd gray box on the right. I spoke with Volusion and they said it is on the table of things to correct, however they don't have a timetable on it. Other than that, it seems to be a great shopping cart solution, although it gets a bit pricey after 1000 items. Anybody else have any experience with Volusion?

Are there other hosted shopping cart solutions that will allow for the same type of product display? This is essential for the products we will be selling.

Thanks,

Jason

Have you thought about osCommerce? They have many features, including the parent-child categories that you are looking for. I stickied you a site that hosts osCommerce for free.
P.S.:Welcome to Webmaster World!

With parent-chaild - do you mean you have to buy parent to get child? Or when you view child - you see parent and vice-versa?

Yes Corey, basically there is a parent product and then child products underneath (basically like a product series). I can PM you an example if you'd like.

Yes that would be fine. I actually sent you one to tell you that as well.

Thanks!

Ahhh yes... upselling with complimentary products. An absolute must to increase the average order size.
