Conversion rates on an ecommerce website

I have just been working out the conversion rate for one of the websites I work on (the others are not ecommerce).

I have calculated against unique users and total number of orders. It is currently running at 10.7% (last week). Overall is 6.4%

My question is - Is this a good conversion rate. Would you be happy with these percentages.

yes... Very happy.

Overall, I would guess 2% is probably average. Higher/lower depending on the industry. Generally though, anything above 5% is pretty darn good.
