worldpay dont require that you open a merchant account with your bank. You can have the money transffered to any UK bank account.

Hello Grant,

I am glad you joined webmasterworld.

Coming back to your question, I believe you are looking for payment processing companies other than the one you have at hand.

Well, there are lots of payment processing companies, having thier own pros and cons. I had a hard time trying to find one that fits me. Thanks to webmasterworld and the participants, I finally found that suits me, although I am not fully happy with them.

Other than worldpay, paypal, 2checkout, authorize.net, verisign and many more are the payment processing companies available. You can go to the search engines and find more too.

One thing I want to remind you though, you maynot be fully happy with any of the payment processing companies. It is sometimes like selecting the best of the worst. Do some research on the them and go for one.

I have learnt in ecommerce the soonest you go into business the better it would be.

Actually Verisign & authorizenet.com are not processors. They are electronic payment gateways - which give you the virtual connectivity between your site & First Data, visanet, etc to help verify transactions. You still need a processor as well.

Paypal & 2Co are considered third party providers. You use their merchant account to help accept credit cards.
