Hi,

I was v.impressed by zencart and the portfolio of sites using it, I consequently downloaded it as many osCommerce users seem to be migrating to it, but I need help from someone with customising it..

Anyone out there?

Cheers.

Jim.

Gee I can't find a single mention of "that" cart here. Nothing here to indicate anyone is migrating to it from oscommerce.

Welcome to this group!

Try their support forums.

You'll most likely get more responses there.

Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback guys - youll find them @ <snip>

I've spoken to a couple of guys who were BIG osCommerce fans but felt it was a little to itimidating for their customers. The guys who built this are ex osCommerce and it seems to be going extremely well.

The reason I asked for help was. I was sure if there were os gurus here, they would find zen a piece of cake!

Cheers.

Jim.

And you'll find the zen cart support forums at that same site.

Zen Cart IS osCommerce! (Adapted under the genu licence). The difference is that the Zen Cart team seem to have run out of enthusiasm even sooner than the osCommerce team...

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this thread is actually an attempt at advertising Zencart on this forum where webmasters who use carts would likely see it.

I joined this forum because I am “LOOKING FOR HELP” and I thought that was what forums were supposed to do!

I found zencart and was told by os devotees that it was better for the newbie and actually did more, so I downloaded it and when I opened it in Dreamweaver got the source code, but I was expecting some kind of template. Robino I went to the zen forum but after having a look at the showcase I couldn’t find people I considered had the level of back-end db and front-end presentation skills I was looking for

I'm a front-end ideas guy and I'm trying to build a small team for several projects where these carts can (if customised) can do great things.

MrFishGuy I didn’t know this was strictly an osCommerce forum, this is a piece of “FREE” kit we’re talking about here.

It just seemed like you were promoting because you kept dropping links. And your questions were very vague.

But it makes more sense now that you explained that yuou're looking to "build a team". I'm not sure that this is the correct place to do that though.

You might want to try your luck at the 'Commercial Exchange Forum'.
