Election vs Sales

This is not another post complaining my sucky sales. I thought it may be interesting to know how much a major event like the election affects ecommerce sales. So please share with me how is your site doing these couple days, and the few days after this election.

My site's traffic dropped about 25% on Monday, and a conversion of 0.1%. I am expecting a 40% drop in traffic today and will probably have no sale at all.

The ratio of U.S. visitors of my site averages at 0.67. Monday the ratio was 0.61. Today it is down to 0.511 so far.

FYI, my conversion rate is somewhere between 0.5% to 0.8%.

We experienced a drop in traffic and sales starting on Sunday. We expect a slow day today.

Our American sales are way down. I expect a quick return to normal by Thursday, if a clear winner is known. If this is not the case, I expect a prolong recovery over several weeks.
