Solution for buying subscriptions online

and managing them afterwards

I'm looking to build a b2b ecomm solution that will be geared around recurring (monthly or quarterly) billing.

The client should be able to add subscriptions to their account, review payment status, and cancel at will.

I have previously built my ecomm solutions around osCommerce but it doesn't seem to have a good subscriptions mechanism. I've been looking at ClientExec and ModernBill and they provide quite a few of the features I would like, but these are very application specific (ie they are aimed at web hosting providers) which is a long way from the service I am trying to provide.

Any suggestions?
